Startup Grand Challenge: Financial Growth

Hey there,

Welcome to our first newsletter! This newsletter is a part of the Financial Growth series

While growth has many aspects, I will be covering every single aspect via podcast, newsletter & masterclass that can benefit all you in your journey, and I am starting my first newsletter with an opportunity for the exceptional startups.

Although, it is a challenge cum funding opportunity and not an initiative to Get SchoolED, but as I’ve mentioned in the about section, I’ll be covering every thing possible that can enable you to achieve your growth goals. Thus, this opportunity can surely enable the startups in achieving their growth goals.

Startups working in any domain are eligible to apply for the K Startup Grand Challenge, an amazing initiative by the Republic of South Korea, where promising startups from around the world can participate in this challenge and can prove their mettle.

This initiative not just provides equity free funding but also provides an exclusive opportunity for startups and startup founders selected by the accelerators to be invited to stay in Korea to participate in a 3.5 month accelerating program in Pangyo, located in the south of Seoul.

At the end of the acceleration program, the government will host a demo day to select top 30 startups. These startups will get additional financial incentives, and if they choose to establish their businesses in Korea, they will get additional support from the government.

This initiative can be a game-changer for any promising startup as the selected startups will get every piece of support from the Republic of South Korea, right from the access to program, visa, stay and office for a period of 3.5 months, with an equity free funding to the selected startups along with an option to raise additional equity based funding.

Through this challenge, 60 teams will be selected to join a 3 months-Accelerating program during which they will receive:

  • a free office space

  • 1-on-1 mentors

  • information sessions on Korean and Asian business culture, as well as specific business topics (e.g. patents, accounting, regulations, tax laws, etc.)

  • access to regular networking sessions

  • exposure to Korean major companies

  • Living expense of 3 months worth $10,840 per team

Last Date for application: May 31st 2022

Application guidelines, deadlines & process: Available on K Startup
